World Economy & Slow down, in simple language

Posted by aneyeopener on February 15, 2009

An Old story of ‘The Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs’. It was giving one egg daily. Just see its modified version as per 2008 world scenario.

Goose was giving 1 olden egg daily. With injections and pills people started taking 2 eggs daily but then, they wanted to 10 eggs daily (Greed), so they given more injections and Goose falls ill. No eggs till the time Goose recovers

Same with world economy. Slow down is a phase in world economy. It’s not in terms of years but it’s in terms of % of growth. Means after certain growth, world always goes to slowdown, Earlier world grown X % in 20 years so we saw slowdown after 20 years. This time world saw the same growth in 7 years so we have slow down after 7 years and last nail on coffin was commodity prices. Few buggers have increased the prices of all commodities for their benefits e.g. crude and food items and world economy was not strong enough to tolerate that inflation. All things broke down. Many banks lost their money in the speculations business. None will confess that but the truth will remain truth

I think that is what exactly happened. Things are never complicated, things are often simple but experts made that look complicated to show their wisdom.

Is Vodafone reall happy to help ? (India)

Posted by aneyeopener on January 2, 2009

Vodafone is more horrible than any service provider in India. Let’s see why

1. they give advertisement – happy to help but make the life of consumer as difficult as possible.

2. wherever you buy phone, you need to go to vodafone store to get that activated. isn’t it surprising. I bought from Vodafone counter at Reliance One. I submitted all document but I have been informed that I need to go to Vodafone store to get it activate – VODAFONE should be proud of such help.

3. When you talk to customer service most of the time they says, for prepaid card, please walk into store we don’t have anything here.

Is it a vodafone service or harrsement ?

Sourav – a success story

Posted by aneyeopener on November 11, 2008

Sourav Ganguly, a person we loved as well as hated.

I remember I used to fight with my friend in 1997 to 2001 on the matter of Sourav. They all love to hate him and I was his fan. Once he became captain and took India to several victories, all other were speechless.

Rightly said by Rahul, first there is God on off-side and then Sourav Ganguly. Set 8 fielders on off-side but Sourav will find the gap, that’s the Sourav special. I also remember Ian chapel saying that he has never seen anyone hitting sixes as easily as Sourav. Believe me when Ian says, it has to be very correct, he has seen cricket as much as anyone else.

Then comes his down phase. Unlike media – I will not flow into emotions and speak only good about him. After some great successes, Sourav was complacent. He was not working well on his fielding, batting and other areas. Team was also following Sourav. Yuvraj, Harbhajan, Zaheer etc following footsteps of Ganguly, became very lazy. Not concentrating enough on fitness and cricket. Team started losing. No wonder he was criticized for his approach and dropped.

The person who has brought his downfall was Greg Chappell. Believe me or not, it was Greg was shook Ganguly up to be better player. He was a blessing in disguise to Ganguly as a player. Once Ganguly was returned, he was different player. He was not as natural and elegant player now but he was a gutsy player. He wanted to remain on pitch for long time. He wanted to score runs. He wanted to run hard. It was a different Ganguly but I simply love this new Ganguly.

Since his return, he has contributed to the team enormously. I am proud of Ganguly that he has chosen his time to exit on his own. He is not the one who has been dropped and then he announced his retirement.

On the Lords, when he waved his shirt, so called experts remember it bad scene but it is a Ganguly memory for me.

Last line – Mahendra singh Dhoni said – I like to inherit the willingness to win from Ganguly and that’s the line which sums up everything.

Ricky Ponting is a cry baby

Posted by aneyeopener on November 11, 2008

Ricky Ponting is a cry baby now. we all know how badly Aussie has lost in India. They have been outplayed by India in all departments- batting, bowling and tactics.

we know when a champion looses they are rattled but not their behavior should be gracious enough. Steve Waugh was beaten in India and their 16 test match winning streak was ended but he never cried that moment. He was a true champion. During his fall also, he was gracious enough.

I recently read Jeff Thomson saying “Ricky is great batsman but very ordinary captain” How true that is. We all have judged Ricky by the team what he has inherited from Steve Waugh. It was never his success. It was the success of team. McGrath, Warne etc were groomed by Border and Taylor, few others were groomed by Steve. Steve pumped the killer instinct in Aussie and all these were inherited to Ricky Ponting.

Ricky enjoyed the success of team till the time old performers were there but now, its time for him to rebuild the team which will be almost impossible for him.

After the loss in India, he started crying about Indian tactics of drying up runs in 3rd Day of Test match at Nagpur. It means that when Aussie does something, its a strategy but when India does something new, its a lack of sportsmanship – negative tactics ?

Shame on you Ricky – Shame.

Aussie use to be my favorite team till Ricky has taken charge. I remember few incidences of Ricky like

-          when Ricky was out in bowling of Harbhajan in Sharjah, he collided with Harbhajan on his way back to pavilion.

-          When Ricky was hit by a bouncer of Srinath, he started using foul language towards Srinath

-          He arguing with Umpire in a test match in England.

-          Aussie team gone out of control under Ricky and sledging is a repeated offence now.

Hence he and his team are always crossing the line on cricket field.

I think Ricky was third choice for captain after Steve.

1st Warne – who lost the opportunity because of his off field controversy

2nd Gilchrist – who denied it

And last was Ricky.

Accept that you have been beaten and now it will be turn of England to repeat the heroics of 2005 Ashes.

Fernando Alonso, from villain to Hero

Posted by aneyeopener on October 16, 2008

I started watching Formula 1 from 1998. It was Mika who won the championship but who catches my eyes were Ferrari and sitting in Ferrari Michael Schumacher. In no time, i became fan of Ferrari and Schumi.

Ferrari didn’t win in 1998 and 1999 but my support remained with them. From 2000, I saw Schumi and Ferrari destroying other teams. It remained unchallenged till 2004. 5 successive years on the top and none looks like challenging them.  But none noticed a new driver coming up – Fernando Alonso.  He stood 4th in 2004, making upto podium for 4 times.

Suddenly, in 2005 Fernando Alonso wins 3 out of first 4 races. He was on top, Schumi won only much talked about US Grand Prix only. At the yearend Alonso was new champion, replacing my favorite Schumi. No doubt I didn’t like Alonso’s emergence. 2006 was last year of Schumi, even then Alonso came and pinned Schumi for title. I disliked Alonso even more. In 2007, joined McLaren – now he was villain for me. I never like McLaren and a disliked personality joining another disliked company – made him villain for me.

He had his problem with McLaren and parted their ways in 2008. I was secretly smiling because both disliked entities suffered. McLaren never recovered as it is difficult to replace a driver like Alonso. Alonso joined Renault and but because the car was not that competitive, he failed. I was happy.

I found Alonso impressive in Singapore Grand Prix.  From nowhere he won the race – ofcourse he was helped by Safety car by victory is victory. Later in Japanese Grand Prix, he stunned everyone with another victory. I found him impressive – perhaps first time I have seen with neutral eye.

Later on when I found him saying he will help Massa to win title, I was stunned. Alonso will to help Ferrari, Ferrari driver. Imagine how much he dislikes McLaren and McLaren driver. He is same as what I am, not liking McLaren. No there is no Schumi running now, Alonso is off from ‘Schumi effect’.

I am looking forward to him as a new favorite of mine but I am a Ferrari fan. Now, I like Alonso to drive Ferrari for F1 title – it would be great combination, just next to Schumi-Ferrari combination for me.

Waiting for Alonso to drive Ferrari.

Nano moved from problem to prosperity, from horror to home

Posted by aneyeopener on October 7, 2008

I simply love it. Really love it.

I have been following Indian social, industrial, technology, political development for last 4-5 years. I found that there are few people who just think about their benefits only and that’s we call Politicians. I feel they care nothing, its just benefit.

Example of that is LEFT parties. Kolkata was a glorious place – capital of India, hub of industry, city of joy, collection of great intellectual people. But in last 30 years it has been rotten. I don’t need to go far for giving example – see example of Nano.

Right opposite to that on western side of India, Gujarat was growing slowly but steadily and conquering new heights. On the sad day in 2002, they faced some violence. It was really sad that so many human lives were lost. But on the basis of that most of the politicians started targeting Gujarat.

I have lived in Gujarat for 2 years and I know how safe it is. So I don’t want anyone’s certificate or opinion. But just for the reader’s sake I like to quote a Bengali gentleman speaking in talk show on NDTV – I allow my wife and daughter to go to home in midnight in Ahmedabad but not in Kolkata.

But sadly many people started bashing Gujarat and far ahead of others were LEFTIES. I really surprised that how can LEFTIES bash Gujarat as a state and talk about its peace ? look at some of the facts

1.      Industry almost dying in one of the best state in India i.e. WB

2.      Bangladeshi , living in India illegally has gone 4-5-6 times in just last few years.

3.      Strikes in IT companies located in Kolkata

4.      We all know what has happened in Nandigram and how brutal it was

On the top of that LEFTIES said Gujarat is unsafe. Gujarat safer than Bangalore, as liquor is banned so no rash driving there.

What could be the answer to their propaganda ?

God has done justice – The dream TATA Project of LEFTIES has moved out from WB. I really feel bad about those Bengali brothers and sisters.

On the top of that it went to Gujarat…

What else could have happened to LEFTIES.

I believed here truth has prevailed.

I am waiting for such another judgment from GOD for other politicians as well.

Disclaimer – I am in Banglaore, moved from Hyderabad. Not at all linked with Nano in Gujarat project. I am an Indian. This write up is based on reading and news channel reports. Reader should apply their own discretion and intelligence. No unwritten words should be read and interpret hidden meaning.

HP Gas is a useless company – currption is in its blood

Posted by aneyeopener on October 3, 2008

We have registered for new Gas connection with Sandeepthi gas agency, Hyderabad. After 11 months we got a call for a connection but they forced me to take a new burner also. We did not agree to buy a burner, Sandeepthi Gas has refused to give us connection.

When We complained to HP Gas, Hyderabad office, they didn’t take any action on Sandeepthi gas and said us that we are using a borrowed connection of other person so we can’t be given a connection.

It means we can’t borrow connection from other and HP gas wanted us to cook food on a kerosene stove for 11 months.

When we escalated the matter with HP Gas they are claiming that they have written a letter to us, which we have never received. HP Gas is also not having any record of the letter sent to me. We are having multiple complaints pending in HP Gas office about this, no 07014351, 07001837, 07001980.

After several compaint HP Gas given a surprising reply. As We have not bought a burner hence it can not be said that Sandeepthi gas has forced me to buy a burner. It amazing that we need to buy a burner to prove that it was forced upon us.

Complaints

1. Sandeepthi Gas agency, Hyderabad and HP Gas, Hyderabad are involved in asking customer to buy a burner from them, which is illegal. (Tie-up sale, MRTP Act)

2. HP Gas official (Hyderabad) has pampered Sandeepthi Gas and not taken any action against them.

3. HP Gas Official (Hyderabad) has denied a new connection to me under unacceptable reasons.

4. HP Gas (Hyderabad) has not taken action against HP Gas staff who was involved in this matter.

We have made several complaints to HP Gas, Manager – Vigilance (HP Gas) but they are not replying to the complaint.

We have also talked to Mr Pulei (Manager – HP Gas) at Bangalore but he has made only false promises.

We was in touch with Ms Veena Apte and Mr Rohit Garg but they seem to be in no hurry to help a customer.

It looks like currption is in blood of the HP Gas. Letters / mails to their manager, vigilance department, director etc brings nothing. We are surprised that it is reckoned as one of the prime companies in India.

News for sale – dangerous news papers – cheating with public

Posted by aneyeopener on October 3, 2008

Imagine yourself as

  1. You are planning to buy a TV.
  2. You decided to wait for 3 months for some research and opinion building.
  3. You asked your friends who were having mixed opinion
  4. During 3 months you have read very good comments about a new TV company for 5-6 times in leading news paper.
  5. You bought that TV,
  6. Within just 6 months, TV had problem. How do you feel ?

On the top of that when you came to know that news paper was receiving equity shares in the TV company for publishing reports, what would be your reaction ?

I am referring to few news papers including very highly circulated news papers.

I read few months back that news paper is accepting equity in return of news content e.g. writing good about a company, writing good about their product / services etc and accepting equity in the company as a services fees. Do you think it should be called service fees? Shouldn’t it be called bribe?

I remember one of my friend, who was writing for a leading news paper in India saying that his article was rejected. Topic – property prices are set to tumble. News paper rejected the article. Unconfirmed source said, it is because real estate developers (Builders) are big source of income for news paper. Publishing such article will make them angry so they can’t publish such news.

Today, I was reading some news about property market for last 2 months in the news paper. We all know that property market is sluggish because of cash crunch and high prices. But the news paper is regularly publishing articles that it is best time to invest. Indian properties are under priced. We have great requirement for property etc.

It is very clear that it is all in line with their real estate developer nexus.

Don’t you think it is cheating with Public?

Note:

1. This news is about India. But I don’t know if this is applicable to other parts of the world or not. I know crooks are crooks everywhere.
2. Wait for next blog about Builders in India.

Is Suicide an Option ? – Young professional of India

Posted by aneyeopener on September 3, 2008

Note : This blog doesn’t represent my story, its a story of a person whom I met in a journey. I am no way related to this.
I completed my engineering in 2006. I was really happy. I was thinking that world is at my feet now. I can rush to the corporate world and start making my impression as I have done in school and college.

I got my first job at Bangalore in an Indian mid size IT company. I heard a lot about Bangalore so I was very happy. I joined the company in August 2006. I got a nice place to stay – with few of bother boys in an sharing apartment. After 1 year in job, I got engaged. It was a fun time as my fiancée was also in Bangalore. in 3 months we got married so we need to leave our respective PG and got into our own rented house.

Let me tell you one thing, its amazing feeling to put the thing order at your home and make it arranged in the way you wish to. we started with some small items and gradually in 12 months we bought all most all items of our need.

Buying a house is a big thing for anyone in the world whether you go to US or in India. Buying an home is one of the biggest dream of anyone. we also were sharing same dream. Its August 2008 and for last 2 months we are searching for a reasonably good apartment which we can buy.

When we moved to look at apartment, we found that nothing decent is available less 30 lakh, and it was a heart breaking news for us. we can’t afford such costly home at this stage of our life. Then

I realize that my rented home is owned by a 32 years man and he is living in another very good apartment. He is probably engineer from similar kind of college. Now he is having 2 apartment, 1 worth 30-35 lakhs and another 50 Lakh. what the hell different he does than me to get such good properties. Only one difference, he was born 6-7 years ahead of me. He started is career in early 2000 and buy first two houses till 2003-04. Property prices were reasonably good till 2005 but after that it gone up like anything. it is not beyond the reach of an ordinary man.

Now its a big problem in our life. what we should do ? isn’t it unfair that few people of society has major wealth and others are living poor life ? reason is not ability, education, performance but reason is System.

All segment of society have turned up greedy. and that greediness have crucified people like us.

Many time I feel like committing suicide but then I think about my wife and parents so I stop myself but day is not far when I may turn the trigger on and go for my final ride.
