Ricky Ponting is a cry baby

Ricky Ponting is a cry baby now. we all know how badly Aussie has lost in India. They have been outplayed by India in all departments- batting, bowling and tactics.
we know when a champion looses they are rattled but not their behavior should be gracious enough. Steve Waugh was beaten in India and their 16 test match winning streak was ended but he never cried that moment. He was a true champion. During his fall also, he was gracious enough.
I recently read Jeff Thomson saying “Ricky is great batsman but very ordinary captain” How true that is. We all have judged Ricky by the team what he has inherited from Steve Waugh. It was never his success. It was the success of team. McGrath, Warne etc were groomed by Border and Taylor, few others were groomed by Steve. Steve pumped the killer instinct in Aussie and all these were inherited to Ricky Ponting.
Ricky enjoyed the success of team till the time old performers were there but now, its time for him to rebuild the team which will be almost impossible for him.
After the loss in India, he started crying about Indian tactics of drying up runs in 3rd Day of Test match at Nagpur. It means that when Aussie does something, its a strategy but when India does something new, its a lack of sportsmanship – negative tactics ?
Shame on you Ricky – Shame.
Aussie use to be my favorite team till Ricky has taken charge. I remember few incidences of Ricky like
- when Ricky was out in bowling of Harbhajan in Sharjah, he collided with Harbhajan on his way back to pavilion.
- When Ricky was hit by a bouncer of Srinath, he started using foul language towards Srinath
- He arguing with Umpire in a test match in England.
- Aussie team gone out of control under Ricky and sledging is a repeated offence now.
Hence he and his team are always crossing the line on cricket field.
I think Ricky was third choice for captain after Steve.
1st Warne – who lost the opportunity because of his off field controversy
2nd Gilchrist – who denied it
And last was Ricky.
Accept that you have been beaten and now it will be turn of England to repeat the heroics of 2005 Ashes.
